Charm and Comfort
Relax in the peaceful surroundings of our secluded riverfront guest cabin.
The timberframe cabin is a two year labour of love constructed from timbers
milled near our property. From the front picture windows you’ll
be greeted by spectacular views of the coastal mountains and the rushing
blue waters of the Wheaton River.
The guest cabin can
accommodate groups of 1 to 4 people. There is a main floor bedroom with
double bed and a cozy upper loft with a futon pull-out bed. Kitchen facilities
(propane stove, kitchenette with double sink, cookware and utensils) are
set up for basic cooking needs. The
open concept living area is furnished with a “northern rustic”
flavour. For your comfort, we offer clean, comfortable beds, down comforters,
the golden light of propane and kerosene lamps and the warm glow of a
wood heat stove.
Time to
unwind
There’s plenty of time…for an
inspiring walk along the river’s edge…to enjoy a good read from our
Northern collection of books…to sip your morning coffee as you watch the
sun rise up over the mountain tops.
Rustic Log
Sauna
Rejuvenate in our lovely riverside log sauna.
There’s a magnificent view of the coastal mountains from the front deck
and if you’re feeling really adventurous you can try a refreshing dip in
the Wheaton River!
“The
Facilities”
The outhouse has a long colourful tradition in the North and
you’ll find different architectures, seating arrangements and décor
throughout the Yukon. Ours is clean, private and comfortable with some
great reading material and an interesting collection of Yukon
“stuff”.
